Terms of service
Last updated: 23 August 2026
The service
RatedUP queues review requests after completed jobs, sends up to three reminders under the account’s configured rules, prepares review replies for approval and shows dated rating/review-count comparisons. It does not guarantee a Google map position or attribute an individual review to an individual customer.
Your responsibilities
You must have a lawful reason to provide customer contact details, keep those details accurate, use the service only for genuine completed-customer relationships, and never use it to review-gate. You must not use the corporate prospect tool for sole traders or ordinary partnerships.
Plans and cancellation
New accounts start with a fourteen-day free trial that requires a card and includes up to twenty genuine completed-customer review requests in total. The trial begins when Stripe confirms checkout. No payment is taken during the trial, and no payment is taken when it ends. The subscription is set to stop on the last day of the trial. It will not become a paid plan merely because fourteen days have passed; it becomes a paid plan only if you choose to keep it. You can keep your plan at any time during the trial from the billing page, and the first charge then falls on the day the trial ends. Stripe displays the trial end date before you confirm the card, and RatedUP displays it in your account. If you do nothing, the trial stops and you are not charged.
You can also end the trial early from account billing and pay for your selected plan immediately to use its monthly request limit. Trial requests made in the same calendar month count towards that limit. The account shows the exact charge and asks you to confirm before we do this. After the trial or early activation, plans are billed monthly or annually at the price shown when you choose them. Monthly plans can be cancelled and annual plans can be stopped before renewal in the billing page. Cancellation stops future renewal and does not reverse a period already paid for unless the law says otherwise.
The review promise
Your first month is charged as normal. After that, RatedUP does not charge you again until your Google review count has risen by ten since your plan started, for as long as you keep asking fifty customers a month. There is no limit on how many months this lasts. The first month is charged because the promise is based on a full month of asking, and the fourteen-day trial allows only twenty requests.
These conditions apply, and all of them matter:
- Fifty customers each month. In each monthly billing period you must contact at least fifty different customers through RatedUP. A customer counts once however many texts, emails or reminders they receive, and however many jobs they have. A message that we are told did not arrive — a bounced email, or a text the network reports as undelivered — does not count.
- Ten new reviews, measured from your start. The target is ten more reviews than your Google review count on the day your plan started, not ten reviews in total. We record that starting number and show it in your account.
- How we measure it. We read your public Google review count once a day and keep the dated history. That record is what decides the promise. We do not estimate or fill in a day we did not read.
- It starts with your first paid month. The promise runs from the month your plan starts and cannot be started later. Your first month is charged; the promise can first make a month free from your second month onwards.
- A month where you contact fewer than fifty customers is charged normally. The promise then continues the following month if you contact fifty again.
- Genuine customers only. Contacts must be real people you have done work for. We may refuse the promise, and charge normally, if contacts are invented, duplicated to inflate the count, or are not genuine completed jobs. We will tell you if we do this and why.
Once your review count has risen by ten, the promise ends and your plan is charged normally from the next billing date. We cannot control whether any individual customer chooses to leave a review, and nothing here is a promise about your position in Google search or Maps.
Pro fair use
Pro includes unlimited review requests for normal activity arising from your own completed jobs. It is not an allowance for bulk, automated or abusive sending, resold messaging or activity that risks RatedUP, message providers or other customers. We may pause or limit activity that falls outside normal business use and will contact you where practical.
Availability and providers
Queued work may be delayed during an outage and resumes afterwards. Dated scoreboard data may be stale and says when it was checked. External providers can be unavailable, change their services or require approval. Direct Google Business Profile posting remains disabled until approved and configured.
Website rating widget
If you install the optional widget, RatedUP publishes your business name, cached Google rating, total Google review count and the date those figures were last updated on the website where you place the snippet. It does not publish reviewer names or review text. Figures can lag after a missed poll. Remove the snippet, revoke the widget or rotate its token in account settings to stop the old embed receiving data.
Ending the service
Either side may end the service in line with the billing period. We may suspend misuse, unlawful messaging, review gating, attempts to bypass quotas or spend controls, or activity that risks another customer’s data.
Governing law
These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
